Hey Annabelle,
Congratulations and good luck on your renewed solo venture! I've signed onto your mailing list and will be watching this space and elsewhere to chart your progress - as well as checking in with and getting updates from your two biggest fans.
Love,

Annabelle, it is not my habit to post messages on fan sites. I love listening and being moved by music. I just learned of your departure from The Wailin' Jennys and used their website to jump to yours. I have read several comments posted here and am now less saddened at your departure. I look forward to hearing your solo work. I appreciate others' comments here which gives a perspective of hope. Blessings on your journey and know that I feel deep gratitude that you share your journey and gifts.
Nick
Hi Annabelle:
I'm a new fan. I heard the Jennys on Vinyl Cafe, and then got 40 Days and Firecracker for Christmas, and was very happy to hear them.
Your songs especially have a very material quality, like a dream or vision brought into this world and given solid form.
Please keep plunking away and finding your special songs.
God bless you on the road.
Nick.

Hi Annabelle...Just a wish and a hug sent your way
to say all the best as you launch into a new solo venture..scary I am sure..but with talent like yours you have a lot to offer. People want to listen.
All the best. I look forward to seeing soon in Southern Ontario. cb

What to say? In however many incarnations the Jennys may have, this one will have been many people's favorite. You elevated them to a whole new level and your songs were instant high points of the repertoire. Having heard your solo work, I suspected you might be a touch too productive and have a lot more to say than any group could contain. Honestly, if the Adult Alternative category in the Junos had existed at the time you'd have already scored one for Water. So I'm grateful for the time, effort and musicianship expended in the Jennys, and I look forward to whatever freewheeling funkiness you have in store, and if fates and finances are willing, to seeing you in your unbridled solo glory. You're one of a kind, gypsy girl.

Annabelle, I was introduced to the Jennies because I was already a fan of yours from Montreal. I think there music improved from 40 days lots and lots, so I'm really glad you're going back to solo music. I'll keep Firecracker around though, it's a great disc. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Annabelle....being introduced to you through your music with the Jenny's, I am REALLY sad to know that you are leaving the group; I do wish there would have been more space for you to explore your solo yearnings and stay put. But...after listening to your solo work, I did wonder if it would be completely satisfying for you long term. I am looking very forward to your next solo release!...Water is still in the CD player and on the ipod! all of my best wishes and COME TO ALBERTA SOON!!

We will miss you with the Jennys. Miss you badly. We look forward to hearing you. You!! I thought I felt this coming when you were in Tarrytown a couple of months ago. I remarked to my wife I thought you were, or seemed somehow disconnected to Nicki and Ruth during the show... Life moves on... Karma is a boomerang... We wish you the best and can't wait to hear what you have for us! Tim and Sue

Sorry to hear of your departure from the Jennys, but I wish you the greatest fortune on your path. Your evocative voice is a pleasure to immerse oneself in! All the best.

Congratulations, Annabelle. Can't wait to see this new chapter of your fabulous career unfold. Your departure is a tragedy for the Jennys -- your songs were the top three on the new Firecracker CD and Devil's Paintbrush was the top folk song in Canada. But the chance of seeing and hearing you more often here on your home turf is an absolute boon to your fans -- and no doubt to you as well. Very best wishes for a glorious future. aud.

It seems I can't leave a message on the Jennys guest book because their anti-spam thingey doesn't allow for more than one Jennys fan in the same workplace. Ah well. Wow, what a bombshell on the Jennys web site ... you're leaving! Well, I hope they survive; they seem like nice gals. But this means you'll be making more of your own music instead of touring, which is GREAT news! You'll feed my addiction for your music much better by producing a CD every 6 months than by visiting Toronto once a year. :-) Thanks for all the great music so far. Keep it coming!

I'm sorry to hear about your departure from the Jennys, but wish you the very best in your future endeavors. Hope you can make it back to the Vancouver-Seattle area before too long. You have a standing invitation for ice cream!

I tried to register on MySpace to contact you, but with no luck... It's Dan Auchincloss here - long time no see! I see you're coming to the UK, and I'm now living just outside London, so I'm going to try and come to either the London or Widsor show. Hope to see you then!

Hi Annabelle! I left a message on the Jennys guestbook on Friday, but I guess something's wrong with the web site, because the message somehow got erased. I just wanted to congratulate you on authoring the TOP Canadian songs on nwfolk.com! Kudos to the other Jennys as well.
