Hello, Anabelle!!!

So exciting you're playing at Storyhill Fest

I was flipping through channels on the radio the other day, and heard this song "Racin' With the Sun"... Or atleast I think that's what it was called. Anyway, I've been looking all over for that song, because I really liked it, which led me to your webpage! Is that song part of an album? Where can I get it? Your music is wonderful! Thankyou!
Comment by annabelle
Hi! That's a song by Ella Jenkins, on an album called African American Folk Rhythms. I might record it for my next CD!

Hi, Annabelle! Just wanted to congratulate you on your new trajectory; I think it's very brave to separate from the Wailin Jennies, when they are achieving such success! But you have a lot of insight of your own to offer, and it's great that you're taking the time to garden, now! Emily and I can relate to the difficulty of touring with growing potatoes and broad beans; we've been playing together for about 7 years, now and touring for much of that. If you want to check out our sounds, feel free: www.myspace.com/embersong.
I love your song "Moya Hlava," by the way. Is that Russian?
Lots of luck, and do come back to Britain when youb can, Rebecca Sullivan

Please, please, please tell me how I can get some help (tab, sheet music) for Devil's paintbrush road. By "get" I mean "buy." I love this song and with all the instruments it would be perfect practice for the all women's music group I play with. We just started last fall in an effort to get the ladies playing in a more comfortable atmosphere (sorry guys, you tend to overwhelm us in group settings). The Wailin' Jennys have been a HUGE inspiration to us. Keep up the fantastic playing, singing, and songwriting!

Hi Jessi. It's on my list of things to do. Thanks for the encouragement

Annabelle, how is the rest of that "gestating" coming along? Can I get a new Annabelle CD for my birthday in October? (: (: I noticed that Firecracker won another award at http://www.indieacoustic.com/. Way to go! Keep up the good work and God bless. Andriy
Comment by annabelle
Hey Andriy, the next CD is due out in Feb '08, but hopefully I'll have a single for your birthday. Cheers!
Hey Annabelle . . . Saw you at the NOW Lounge in Toronto Saturday night. It was a huge treat to see/hear you performing solo -- great new songs, catchy new on-stage electronic tricks, terrific new bass player. Wonderful to have you back again. Congratulations on this new phase of your career. It sure does look promising. Audrey A.

Hi Annabelle, just wanted to thank you for the fabulous music you make. You added so much to the Jennys, and after hearing some of your solo work, I'm yearning for more! Your sound is different from anything else I've heard. Any samples you can give us of what's to come? A fix for us poor folk who aren't within range of an upcoming concert? Pete
Comment by annabelle
Hiya Pete, thanks for asking! Stuff is unfolding, and I so am excited, but it's still gestating!
mike
great music!

Hi Annabelle,
I have been meaning to post here, but kept forgetting so this may be kind of old by now! Anyway, I was sad to hear you'd be leaving the Jennys, but I am excited for you to go back to your solo career, you must follow your heart and I am sure that is what you are doing. I have had the opportunity to visit with you twice and wanted to thank you for that. The last time I saw you was in August at Lawrence Kansas at my mom and I were near the front doing our infamous "swallow" dance! Good luck with everything you will be experiencing in the future.
Brian
Good luck, AbC, with your new venture - expecting great things! After I saw you with the Jennys at the Borderline I think you took my comment the wrong way - when I said 'tough act to follow' it was meant as a compliment to you! The Jennys are fantastic, but so was your input. All the best.

Hi Annabelle, We were yesterday in Bilbao and enjoyed so much the concert ... Yes, we are your greatest fans from Barcelona. It was thrilling to see the Jennys live, after having listened to Firecracker so many times since we bought it (by chance) at that shop in Vancouver (our kids know the songs by heart!). And it was even better when we could talk to you at the end of the show. We just love your music. Good luck in your new career, we will follow you. And let us know when you are in Barcelona, we will show you around!

Congratulations, Annabelle, on the Jennys' nomination for a 2007 Juno award. Well done. iw.
